Crypto is not currently mainstream and won't go mainstream, unless it evolves.
Adoption can be driven by different audiences, with different needs and priorities. As far as individuals are concerned, crypto (& web3 overall) is still obscure and confusing, and its benefits are anything but clear.
Thus, if the industry wants to advance the adoption driven by individuals (whether consumers or investors), rather than by institutions, it needs to cater to them.
We need to make crypto easy, simple, intuitive, and ultimately frictionless. And, above all, we need to clarify the benefits that crypto offers to everyday people; otherwise, it will just be considered a solution seeking a problem.
